Sher Wagyu exports to over 14 countries and has been a long term supplier and supporter of Osawa Enterprises since 2009.
The owners, Nick and Vicki Sher, have a passion to produce delicious, tender, juicy Wagyu beef with a superb and distinctive flavour.
It is a family-owned company has been breeding and feeding Wagyu cattle since 1991. They combine the finest Wagyu bloodlines with a carefully managed “conception to consumer” beef operation based at Ballan, central Victoria.
Sher Wagyu run both Fullblood Wagyu and Wagyu cross cattle. Their full-blood Wagyu herd is DNA registered with pedigrees on both sides traceable back to Japanese ancestors.
The Wagyu F1 herd is Wagyu x Holstein, the traditional Japanese F1. The Shers were the first breeders in Australia to produce Wagyu X Holstein.
Higher grade Wagyu cross cattle: F2 (75%), F3 (88%) and Purebred (94%) are also produced.
Cattle are grazed on pastures on their Victorian & Southern NSW farms to 18 months of age, and then finished for 400+ days on a specially-formulated Japanese-style barley-based ration. Fullblood cattle are finished for 500+ days.

The ration is developed for gentle slow growth to ensure optimum health of the cattle and the most consistent quality all year around. The rations are all-natural and free from growth hormones and antibiotics.
Sher Wagyu has been awarded State Winner or Gold Medallist for 11 years running at the National delicious Produce Awards and awarded a Gold Medal in 2019 Australian Food Awards.
